“To feel ‘compassion’ without anadequate practical result ensuing fromit is not to show oneself an ‘Altruist’but the reverse. Real self-developmenton the esoteric lines is action.” (Helena P. Blavatsky, in her article“What Shall We Do For Our Fellow-Men?”) The healing power of compassion has been written about since ancient times.
