Empathy is the art of stepping in the shoes of another person and seeing the world from their perspective. We know at least in theory that having more of it will enrich our own lives. But can it also create radical social change? Roman Krznaric thinks so, and has written a new book, Empathy: A Handbook for Revolution, to show us how.
Krznaric is a founder faculty member of The School of Life and an internationally acclaimed empathy expert. This morning he’ll discuss the research behind his book, delving into the science, psychology, philosophy and sociology of a concept that is more popular today than at any time in human history.
