How Peace Tables Can Save Classroom Time, Build Problem-Solving Skills, and Increase Confidence

Ask an elementary school teacher what the least enjoyable part of their job is, and many will tell you: managing classroom behavior. Mediating minor disputes between students in the cafeteria, in the classroom and on the playground comes with the territory, but it can also drain teachers’ energy and creativity and take up valuable time.

But what would happen if kids were expected to mediate their own disputes?…. 

After that, the process continues but the table itself is no longer there because practicing empathy and conversation has become second nature.
