Background: A deficit in empathy is reviewed to underlie troubles in social interaction of youngsters with autism spectrum condition (ASD) and conduct problem (CD). To date, no research has in contrast youngsters with ASD and distinct subtypes of CD to explain condition-certain empathy profiles in medical samples.
