Background: A deficit in empathy is reviewed to underlie troubles in social interaction of youngsters with autism spectrum condition (ASD) and conduct problem (CD). To date, no research has in contrast youngsters with ASD and distinct subtypes of CD to explain condition-certain empathy profiles in medical samples. In addition, little is acknowledged about age influences on the development of empathic capabilities. The goal of the current examine was to evaluate cognitive and psychological empathy in distinct age teams of youngsters with ASD, CD with elevated or very low callous-unemotional-characteristics (CU+ vs. CU−) and a matched control team (CG).
