Empathy deficit gives Romney uphill battle

It is a Republican article of faith that the weak economy makes President Obama vulnerable in the general election. Yet, he enjoys a healthy lead over Mitt Romney in most polls, and, in particular, a 19-point edge among women. What Republicans don’t grasp is that empathy may trump the economy this time around….
