Dalai Lama addresses BIMTECH academia, students and professionals
Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has said that he learnt many lessons in compassion, non-violence and religious harmony from India. Dalai Lama’s home for over 50 years, India, also helped him refresh and refine his thoughts on Ahimsa or non-violence. For him India is the living symbol of religious harmony for the last 1,000 years. The Dalai Lama hailed India a great example of a country that promotes a sense of compassion and responsibilities through secularism. This is what makes him both psychologically and emotionally close to the country.
