Imagine a world in which every child has mastered empathy. What do you see?
The world is changing—faster than ever before—from a society run by elites to a society in which everyone is a changemaker. In this new world, empathy is one of the most fundamental skills: the linchpin in the life cycle of innovation, changemaking and the solving of social problems. The measure of success of any institution will soon be what proportion of its people are skilled changemakers with the empathy to lead others around them to new solutions that make life better for everyone.
That’s why we’ve launched a global empathy initiative – not because math and reading are not essential skills. Because empathy is essential, too.
